...Creative Energy...

Where have I been? Nowhere special. I just am not very good at remembering to update :-/

Calorie counting seems to be an essential part of wanting to really lose weight. I was doing it online at Spark People, but sometimes I think it would be easier just to keep a written log. I can always enter it online after.

So, I got a little creative, rather than buying a super cute notebook... My shopping list really said "super cute notebook". I decided to make my own super cute notebook when I saw ribbon and 25 cent composition notebooks. I had some other things at home, so I just had to get those things.

Here is what it ended up looking like (I'm very pleased):
Super Cute right?
The C could stand for Christine orrrr Calories ;)

Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope to post tomorrow with happy weigh in results. Until then, I will be working on this homework I need to get done before my trip to Maine!!!

..World Cup..

I haven't written about the World Cup at all on here, which is quite surprising. I enjoy it very much and am a German fan all the way. Not just now that they have gotten so far. Don't get me wrong, I wanted the best for the US team as well. It was fun having two teams to root for :)

Now it is all about Germany! Today will be a tough game. Spain vs Germany. Spain beat Germany for the European cup 2 years ago and now they get to face each other again. This time, it will be Germany that is victorious! At least I hope so!

This is something my mom's side of the family can share. We are German and I enjoy having something to talk to them about other than the usual things you talk about when you haven't seen someone for a while. My cousin and I are actually texting about the games and my Oma is a fanatic through and through, so she is probably their harshest critic! My Opa in Germany and aunt here are even watching and they much rather do ANYTHING than watch tv, let alone sports! It has been really fun!

My mom took a half day from work to be home for the game. I get to watch all, but the last 30 minutes, so Germany better get their act together at the beginning! :) If they win, the final game is Sunday. Ah I'm nervous!

PS. I have been kicking butt at the gym, but this week was still a pound gained. Muscle, I hope, because I have been eating very healthy and have been staying away from the "snack station" at work!
