Friday Letters

Dear Friday - First and foremost I am so glad that you're here. I've missed you for 7 days. Make way for the weekend! Dear John - no, not the book, but the boyfriend. I'm excited to get to spend some time with you this weekend and next weekend. Dear GA National Fair - I've always wanted to partake in the adventure that is you. Do not disappoint, as I'm sure you won't. I'm going to get the unlimited wristband and ride your rides and eat your healthy food. Dear Friends - Thank you for always making sure that there is a smile on my face - I am so excited for the bonfire tomorrow night -it is sure to be a lot of fun! Dear Netherworld - I won't be visiting you tonight like my friends wanted me to. It's not you it's me. I'm a scardy cat and WILL NOT give myself a panic attack over a haunted house. See you never! Dear Traffic - If you could please clear up before I leave work in 15 minutes that would be AMAZING!! Dear Oma - I miss you SO much. It's almost been three weeks since you've left this world and gone on to bigger and better things, but it seems like we were having our little picnic in your hospital room yesterday. I just want one more hug, one more hand squeeze, one more smile, one more conversation. I love you and think of you every single day. Dear Mom - I know you miss your mom, a lot. Every day is hard for you, but you sure do try to laugh a little and you always bring Oma into conversations. I love the memories you have of her that we shared and that you had before I was even thought of. You two were the best of friends, and I'm glad you and I are close to. I am here for you and I know sometimes you're the one having to comfort me, but you can always come to me to comfort you. I love you! Dear blogworld - I have been more MIA than usual - well, I've never been truly consistent. I hope that changes soon. I have had a lot going on and I just want to say that I still read people's blogs.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. I plan to take tons of pictures of the fair on Sunday (possibly with my phone, since this girl wants to ride rides) and will write a post about it next week.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. My favorite flower is a tulip or pretty much any flower!
2. You should never talk about  politics. I have to agree with this one. It gets too heated and some people don't even listen to the other party's point of view, but just say everything they think they're for. I can't handle that.
3. My favorite discovery as of late is my Chi hair dryer. I can get my hair dryed and straightened within 30 minutes, which used to take me almost an hour. It's amazing.
4. This fall you will probably find me wearing all things comfy. I am all about comfort. When I get home I immediately change into the most comfortable pajamas, even if there are still things to do around the house.

5. I wish I were  already enjoying my weekend.

6. My favorite TV show currently is hard to pinpoint. I like a lot of shows. I am really liking the new show Revolution on NBC and also Elementary.
7. This weekend I want to have a lot of fun, and I will. I'm going to a cookout/bonfire tomorrow night and Sunday I'm going to the GA National Fair. I have always wanted to go, but never have.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Fill in the Blank Friday

fill in the blank friday

1.  The last thing I ate was    Sour S’ghetti.. Yes, I did. It was amazingly sour and sweet.. Not Sour Patch Kids – but still SO GOOD.

2.  The last time I went to the beach was  in June – I went to Key West for the first time. I want to go to the beach again and never come back!

3. My last vacation was same as above. I’ve had mini weekend getaways for a wedding and what not, but that’s it. I used my vacation time to take care and me with my grandmother while she was in the hospital before she passed away last week.

4. The last place I drove was to the best store ever across the street. It is called Five Below and it is AMAZING. Everything is 5 dollars or less and that is where the Sour S’ghetti came from (no worries, it was Hasbro)

5. The last song I listened to was something on the radio – not sure what the name was.. hmmm. It was catchy, but not Call Me Maybe.. haha

6. The last thing I watched on TV was Elementary… and I LOVED IT… Humor, weirdness, and murder mysteries = perfection.. oh AND British Accent!

7. The last time I said "I love you" was when I last talked to mi madre.

September 1

This girl is turning 26 on the 18th. I'm not necessarily excited - I thought my life would be much different at this age than it is. I thought I'd be married planning on having a couple of kids the next couple of years. Am I upset that it has panned out to how I imagined? Honestly, it depends on the day of the week or the time of the day. I want that, yes, but I do have a loving boyfriend. It could definitely be worse. This is my year. I finally have a full time job - and they like me! Like I ever doubted that. Okay, I'll be more modest, I really was not sure. I just like to think I'm easy to get along with and a hard worker.

So, in honor of turning 26, I am going list 26 things that I want to do in my upcoming year of life!

  1. Spend as much time as possible with my Oma.
  2. Bring as many smiles to my mom's face as I can as she struggles with what's going on with her mom. Reminding myself daily that even though my heart breaks a little every day, she needs a light in her life right now.
  3. Go to church more, I have a hard time with church. I loved it when I was in High School, but then drama, politics, and too much hypocrisy happened. I love The Lord, and I know He knows this... I do like the comfort of a church family - I just want to find one that doesn't come along with the drama that my last church did.
  4. Pay off all of my credit cards.
  5. Read MORE.
  6. Watch every episode of my favorite show again - Gilmore Girls...
  7. Get engaged... Be happy with where I am in life instead of comparing it to people who have what I thought I'd have.
  8. Blog - Blog - Blog. I love reading blogs and I want to build the following I see on others... But I can't do that if I'm flaky.
  9. Smile more.
  10. Love more.
  11. Socialize more.
  12. Gossip less.
  13. Do morel logic puzzles - may sound nerdy, but I love how much thought goes into them.
  14. Commit myself to working out AT LEAST 3 days a week.
  15. Compliment people more.
  16. Learn to take compliments.
  17. Be the person I'd want to be friends with.
  18. Build my savings account, so I have emergency $.
  19. Sing my heart out.
  20. Learn how to really use my beautiful Canon T3i.
  21. Eat clean.
  22. Make blog friends.
  23. Be less selfish.
  24. Grow out my hair - I always cut it when I really want it to be longer!
  25. Start a journal.
  26. Be less shy - or well less socially awkward.
I know that's a long list.. old lady over here.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I plan to lounge around the house and work on some crafts. Everyone else here in GA is watching college football - sorry, it's not really for me.

WWTK Wednesday–Would you rather…

null

I’m linking up with Mamarazzi and Crazymama.

{one} WYR...have your own private jet or your own private island?
Have my own private jet. It can take me anywhere in the world – so I could go to remote islands without owning them.

{two} WYR...be very good looking or very smart?
Smart – looks can only get you so far. Not that I’d want to scare people away with my looks!

{three}WYR...have the ability to be invisible or the ability to fly?
The ability to be invisible.. I have my own private jet, hello… it can fly me. It has nothing to do with the fact that I’m scared of heights and if something isn’t around me – I panic!

{four} WYR...have the ability to read minds or control the weather?
Control the weather. I don’t want to know what people are thinking. I don’t want to hear people’s negative. That would be exhausting. If it were always positive, then maybe! Also, I’d be all for perfect weather, with occasional showers.

{five} WYR...be able to hear any conversation or take back anything you say?
Take back anything I say. Sometimes things come out that can really hurt people without even having the chance to think about how they’d react or how it sounds. So – I want to be able to do that. I don’t want to hear people’s conversations – there is too much gossip in this world, I’d never know what was true and what was not.. I’m better off not knowing!

WWTK Wednesday - Olympics edition :)

Happy Wednesday, ALL! How is everyone loving the Olympics?! Mamarazzi and Crazymama are asking all kinds of questions about the Olympics - let's see what I had to say!

null

(1) What was your favorite part of the Opening Ceremonies?

When the countries walk in. It's so interesting to see them all. Just the outfits alone make for some entertainment. Also, I always forget how many countries participate and I love when you see how proud the countries with only 2 or so competing are :)

(2) Which country are you rooting for? ( I realize we aren't all Americans)

I'm half German and half American, so I root for both. Depends on the sport. If Germany had actually made it with their soccer team, I would've rooted for them all the way. Swimming, I root for the USA - love me some Phelps, and also some Lochte.

(3) Which is your favorite event to watch and why?

Swimming - it's just so fast paced and you can see them all competing at the same time. It just keeps you on the edge of your seats. I also love gymnastics (Go USA girls :) ). I'm just a fan of it all - ask my boss, it's been on my computer all day Monday and Tuesday - I'm still working, sort of ;P

(4) Have you found a new sport that is surprisingly delightful?

Not necessarily new, but I've gotten into the beach volleyball and the synchronized diving. That synchronized diving is no joke, and very hardcore!

(5) Have you always been a fan of the Olympics? what is your earliest Olympic Memory?

The time I really remember is the Atlanta Olympics in 1996. Living here, I had the opportunity to attend baseball while it was still part of the Olympics. I also got to walk around Centennial Olympic Park and also partake in numerous festivities for the public. There were pins to collect, and just so much excitement :) After that they've kind of been a blur until 2008 - I really started paying more attention. This year I've been even more into it than I was then. I just LOVE competition. I get so invested.

Congrats to Michael Phelps for winning his 19th medal, making him the most decorated Olympian of all time.

GO USA!!! and GERMANY!!!

1.  I am a Jesus follower, an optimist, a daughter, a girlfriend, a caring heart, a comedian (I wish), a listener.

2.  I have always gotten excited about the littlest things, and get my hopes up easily.

3. I hope to get married and have a kid before I am 30… I turn 26 in September… boyfriend, get on it.

4. I can form my tongue into a clover… that’s what you wanted to know, right?

5. I dream of my future life, how it will be, who will be a part of it. Oh and of better times with money – where my student loans are paid off.

6. The way to my heart is by caring, and showing me that you listen to me and to what makes me happy.

7. I am passionate about most things that I do. I take pride in what I do, and I want it to be 100%, not half done.

Life–and How Cancer Consumes It.

I'm not one to write about negative things in my life. However, I think that in order to better know me, I should not sugar coat my blog - because, honestly life isn't sugar coated. I do wish it was, and not just because I have a sweet tooth...

My life, as of late, has been somewhat stressful/emotional. It's been a roller coaster. About two and a half years ago, my Oma (grandmother) was diagnosed with cancer. We were scared, but ready to fight right along with her. Taking her to doctor’s appointments, sending her encouraging pictures and cards, going wig shopping when the chemo made her lose her hair, all of it.

After her first round of chemo and radiation, it looked to be gone. They were hopeful. Then about 4 or so months later she went for a check up just to make sure things were still good, and they found a tumor in the same spot. They couldn’t do as much radiation, because she had reached her limit, so chemotherapy was her only option. They did an intense one – one of the strongest ones there are, I believe. It was looking better – but never went away. Two months ago (May 30) my Oma was told that she had 2 more months to live. To say that my heart broke into a million pieces is an understatement. I didn’t know what to think, feel, say… all I could do was cry. This woman is the most important person in my life other than my mom.

They did an MRI of her brain to see if the cancer had spread to it, if not they could prescribe her a pill that would slow down the progression of the cancer. It would not, however, cure it. Good news – the cancer had not spread, so she could take it. Today is 7/26/2012 and while you can tell she is in pain and has her bad days – she is still able to do everything for herself. She has good days occasionally. I know that the day will come, but even though it took me a while to wrap my mind around it, nobody can put a date on when someone will pass on, except for God. He knows, and I put my trust in Him.

Sorry for the downer – it’s just something that’s been on my mind constantly for the last two months.

We’ve been spending every weekend with her that we can. Her favorite things in the world are soccer and elephants. We went to her house for all of the Germany matches during the Euro championships. My mom took time off from work to go to all the games during the week. We just want to do things with her that she enjoys. Time with her is precious and I want there to be as much as possible. Now dates in the future make me sad. Like my birthday is in September, or Thanksgiving, or Christmas… I know you can’t think like that, but I have anxiety issues that I can’t get past.

If you’ve made it this far, thanks for taking the time to read what my last couple of years/months have consisted of and if you want to throw in a prayer, my family would be forever grateful.

WWTK week 64

I am here linking up to one of my favorite link ups - We Want to Know Wednesday with Mamarazzi and Crazymama.
null

The Lovely one http://looklucklove.blogspot.com wants to know:
{one} What Disney character do you most resemble and why?

I'd say Belle, based on looks. I have the brown hair and brown eyes.

Also - I like to see the beauty in everyone. I always believe that no matter how someone looks - although, bad teeth are a pet peeve - they have to have SOME good in them.
And it got me, Mamarazzi, wanting to know...
{two} Who was your teenage celebrity crush?

Um let's see - there were plenty! JTT, Nick Carter, Leo Dicaprio (Growing Pains era)... There were plenty more!

{three} What celebrity would you love to be BFF with?
Very good question. I would love to BFFs with Candace Cameron Bure. She’s such a grounded, inspirational person… um and she was on Full House!

{four} Who is your celebrity look a like?
I've heard a lot of different ones over the years - that doesn't mean I think I'm hot stuff or anything. I take it as a great compliment and then shake it off as an I don't know what you're talking about. The one I have heard the most is Beverly Mitchell – I don’t really see it… Maybe more when I was a teenage and she was on 7th Heaven – I had blonde highlights back then.
beverley-mitchell-2005-wb-tca-winter-press-tour-party-arrivals-1uXdEI

The next is Sophia Bush.
thumbnailCAEKG92E
And lastely, Briana Evigan, from Step Up 2: The Streets.
Briana%20Evigan-BBC-004992
They're all pretty ladies, so I'll take the comparisons.
{five} Which celebrity/celebrity couple would you want to portray you/your honey in a movie about your life?
A movie about my life... Hm. Do they have to be a couple, or can it just be 2 celebrities that would play us as a couple? Me - I'll have to go with Sophia Bush. Loved her on One Tree Hill. And for my honey… either Zach Braff, Adam Brody, or James Roday. They are all comical, but can play serious roles. They honey sure loves to crack jokes, but he’s pretty serious at times.

Key West

So a thousand days ago – Memorial Day, to be exact – when I last posted, I said I was going to Key West for a few days for vacation. Well I went and it was good. There was plenty of drama on the drive home that I will not rehash, but the trip itself was fun. The weather was not as amazing as we would have hoped, since a tropical storm decided it wanted to join us on the trip. However, we’re getting wet anyway, so come on rain. The sun actually fully came out for a while the last day we were there, with little sightings of it throughout the trip. It actually probably made the temperatures much more bearable.

view

The first day we just kind of bummed around before hitting the beach and pool, because we drove 12 hours overnight to get there. I don’t sleep well in cars and only got about 2 hours of sleep, so that night we went to bed early. Here’s the view from our hotel:

room view

We stayed at the Ibis Bay Resort. When we got there and saw the outside we were kind of like, wow – what were we thinking. However, once we checked in and got in our room, it was great! We paid for a courtyard room, and had the view above. It was spacious. We had a washer and dryer. No complaints. These were some of our friends:

photo 3photo 4

The second day we went to a different beach to check it out and camped out there for the day – it was nice, except the rocks were bad. We ended up leaving to go and get some water shoes. They made ALL of the difference in the world. Thank you water shoes that I forgot in the rental car, you will be missed. It was fun to sit on the rocks, which we did for a while after the water decided it wanted to calm down a bit. John did some seashell hunting – he had some good finds, especially some awesome rocks. There weren’t a lot of seashells there.

The third day we decided to go to the beach for a little bit, a different, free one. It was nicer, but had A LOT of seaweed. But it actually had sand and was pretty. After a few hours of swimming there, we decided to go to Duval Street to check out the tourist shops. Can’t go on vacation without souvenirs. We also had lunch at an amazing Cuban restaurant. Honestly, John and I wanted to go somewhere else, but they were closed so we went back and joined them. It was worth it. This little guy and his ladies came by:

The fourth and last full day there, we went to a beach on a different island. It was the best by far. It was the most like what you see in the pictures. The water was beautiful everywhere, and would have most likely been even more beautiful if the sun were out. We spent most of the day there and then headed back to the hotel to get ready and both couples did their own thing. We went to dinner at a place we really wanted to go the whole time. It was fabulous. This is what we had:

At mile 0photo 2

Truth be told – these are just pictures I had on my phone. I have more on my camera that I have not even uploaded to my computer – I really need to do that.

It was definitely a fun trip.

Memorial Day Weekend

Let me just say that this was the first Memorial Day weekend I did not have to work - yay grown up job. It was amazing... just being able to not have to get ready for work for 3 days! Saturday Bobo graduated High School - I am still in denial. She might night be direct family, but I do consider her a baby sister. She was top 5% of her class and graduated with high honors. She's a smart girl and I am so proud of her.

After sitting in  500 degree temperatures for 2 hours... or maybe just 80s-90s, it was time for a nap. I slept about 2 hours, which was amazing. I am so not a nap person, but the heat wore me out. Sunday the bf and I went to do a little shopping, so we could cook out for dinner, and get some things for his dog. Then we were lazy the rest of the day watching movies.

Monday was just a plain lazy day - I loved it. Every now and then, those are just necessary. I never thought I'd miss them so much when I got a full time job. Yes, I get the weekends off, but I seem to always have something to do on the weekends, or I am in a cleaning mood, because nothing gets cleaned over the weekend.

Now, I am back at work (on my lunch break, promise!)... and I am not very busy, which is nice, but also makes the day drag. Short week though! :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and took the time to remember why we have this day off. Thank you to those that have sacrificed their lives to protect our freedom. Also, thank you to those that continue to fight and put yourselves in harms way to protect us.

Friday Letters

Dear Little Sister - You turned 8 this week and are growing into such a beautiful girl. I wish I could see you more often, but know that I love you and think of you and our brother often :) Love you.
Dear BoBo - You graduate from High School tomorrow, I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT and am kind of pretending it is not happening. You're such an amazing person and have so much to offer the world. I can't believe I've seen you grow up since you were 7 - you're like a sister to me.
Dear Key West - I will be there in less than a month for some glorious beach time. I have never been, so treat me well and make sure I leave with a nice tan :)
Dear 3 Day Weekend - I adore you and cannot wait to spend time with you with some of the people that are closest to me! I haven't had Memorial Day off in so many years I don't know what to do!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and happy and safe weekend. I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but I'm excited.

We Want to Know ALL KINDS OF THINGS Wednesday :)

null
{1} Tell us about your job/daily routine?
I am a claims assistant - or assistant to the claims department - you have to get your foot in the door with a company :) Actually I really like it, and it is giving me the opportunity to learn about claims and also this company - I've been here about 5 weeks.
 My routine:
  • Wake up
  • Get ready for the gym
  • Workout/Shower/Get ready
  • Go to work 830-530
  • Lunch from 1-2 typically, but it isn't set in stone, sometimes I go to lunch with friends, sometimes I eat at my desk and then go shop (like yesterday)
  • Go home - get into pjs
  • Relax
  • Go to bed at like 930-1030...
{2} What is your favorite place in your home to relax? (bonus points for a pic)
On the recliner with my pup reading a book on my kindle!
{3} Summer cool treat...popsicle or icecream?
Ice cream all the way! Gelato to be exact. I love it all, but it's the best :)
{4} Be sweet to yourself, list 3 things you LIKE about YOU!
Caring heart, smile, hair

{5} If someone saw my __________ I would likely die of embarrassment!
My workout/food journal - It is something really personal to me and I am not necessarily proud of some of it. Maybe one day - but not yet.

Fabulous Friday

1.  Something that is very near and dear to my heart is, family - I wouldn't be who I am without them.

2.  Everyday  is good cause to celebrate .

3.  The most fun I ever had was my trip to Paris between 8th and 9th grade with my 8th grade French class --- it is about time I have a new fun experience!

4.  True friends are the ones that you can always count on - that even when you don't talk for a long time, you can pick up where you left off and not have that awkward fake vibe between you. They know the best and the worst parts of who you are and still love you.

5. Something that makes me terribly happy is everything. It is not hard to make me happy :)  It's the little things.

6. A good way to spend a sunny day is reading a book outside on a blanket with a sweet tea!

7.  My favorite celebratory food is cheesecake! YUM

Photobucket

Dear Job - Thank you for being there for me - you help me pay my bills, you keep me entertained. You let me wear jeans every day :)
Dear Oma - I pray for you daily, and think of you more. You're a strong woman, I know cancer is scary and that it takes a lot out of you, but you're fighting the fight and I'm here for you. We're going to knock out this blood transfusion tomorrow while watching your soccer team kick some tush.
Luke Bryan - I know you're in GA for the next two days, and I'm mad you didn't try to make plans with me. I forgive you - just give me tickets to your concert.
Boyfriend - I know you regret telling me about 50 Shades of Gray --- but don't worry, Christian Grey isn't real... I love you. :) Seriously though, you're a great guy. I admire you for volunteering for the Special Olympics this weekend - I know sometimes it is a lot of work, but also  so rewarding. Those kids adore you.
Mom - I know that it's been a bad couple of weeks in the home department, but things will look up - they have to :) And yes, you forgot your shoes at home this morning when you went to the gym, but way to procrastinate taking things to good will - because of that, you had some other shoes you could wear :)

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

We Want to Know Wednesday --- Friends

null

{1}I have found myself jealous/envious of this friend because...
...they are getting married... Yup I said it - I want to at least get engaged! Come on BOYFRIEND!
{2}I admire this one for her _________ (insert admirable quality) and tell us about them.
strength. She has gone through so much in her life - and while at time it seems she could have given up and might have a little bit, she always bounced back and continued on her journey. She's amazing!
{3}I really love this blog friend because...
they are a real life friend, but I like that she has a blog, because I don't get to see her often anymore and that keeps me up to date :) She's got the cutest baby!
{4}If I was stuck on a desert island I would want to be with this friend...
...the boyfriend - I would miss him too much if he wasn't around. Although, I'd find a way to also sneak my mom - she's my sanity!
{5}I think the best qualities in a friend are...
honesty, trustworthiness, sense of humor, big heart, happiness, intelligent, motivational, independent (clingy friends can be a bit much), loyalty, etc. Haha, maybe I have high expectations - nah - I have a few friends that posses these qualities.

Friday's Letters

I like this link up  - I have seen it a couple of times and decided I wanted to participate... Next week, I will be sure to put both of my Friday link ups in the same post.

Photobucket

Dear Friend - Thank you for keeping me sane and always lending an ear (or eye...) when I need one. You make my work days go by smoother. Smiles are never missing when we chat. Dear Boyfriend - I may judge you when you buy yourself a Ukulele, but it's only because I love you. I think it is cute. PS. When are you taking me to a Braves game? Dear brain - Please stop over thinking and analyzing everything. Things happen the way they do for a reason - stop letting the past get you down. Dear Zoe - You're such an awesome puppy - and I am already counting the minutes to snuggle time - because that means bed time. PS. Don't hog my pillow tonight. Dear Best Friend - I'm sorry your students don't appreciate you the way they should. You are amazing at what you do and don't let them get you down. Dear Doritos - Um hello Enchilada Supreme - you are much better than you sound. Dear weekend - I love you - the end. Dear BBW customers - I will be back for a limited time (tomorrow, to help), and yes, I will be overly cheerful - deal with it and be nice too - I did not make you wait until Saturday to buy a Mother's Day present for Sunday!
                                                                                                xoxo Christine

FRIDAY - You have never looked so good!

What a long week. Not a bad one, but just long. I was staying up later than I should have, which really threw me off my game towards the end of the week (today)... so never before, except when I was in school, has TGIF been a more fitting acronym.

Without further ado, here are my answers to Lauren's Fill In The Blank Friday link up:

1.  On a scale from 1-10 the frequency with which I get sick is, I'd say 2 - I typically get a cold once a year and that's it (knocking on wood now). This year I had the flu and was out of commission for almost 2 weeks - it was BAD.

2.   The last time I felt sick was   during the above said flu that tried to slowly kill me. I won! That was about 7 weeks ago. I remember that, because it was right before I gave my two weeks notice - so I felt REALLY guilty for missing work.

3.  The worst part about being sick is   being sick, the entire process    because   I do not take being sick well. I whine - it is not cute. I can't do anything and I just want to sleep. And I HATE calling in sick to work!

4. When I am sick I like to be taken care of by   being waited on hand and foot - I wouldn't want to overdo it, now would I.

5. Something I do to keep myself healthy is  drink emergenC almost every day and take my vitamins. I try to workout at least 3 days a week - and I sanitize when necessary - not constantly.

6. A secret remedy that I use when I'm sick is to  wear comfy pajamas, get some movies ready, get some tissues with Vicks, get some vicks, and sudafed to breath, and MOVIES - lots of movies! You'll be better in no time!

7.  One thing that always makes me feel better when I'm sick is  tea, lots of tea. That and my bed - ohhh those down comforters (yes plural) really know how to make a girl snuggle and feel good!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope today didn't go by as slowly for you as it did for me!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Happy Cinco de Mayo :) I will be spending the weekend with my boyfriend again. We are going to have a movie day tomorrow and go see The Lucky One and The Avengers, and then we will go eat some Mexican food. YUM.

Sunday we plan to go to the Cotton Pickin' Fair in Gay, GA. It all depends on the weather. Hope it is fun, I've never been :D

Here go the answers to Fill in the Blank Friday!

1.  My bedtime routine includes, getting into my pjs, reading, watching one of my DVR'd shoes, brushing my teeth, washing my face, and going to bed.

2.   I am  a happy girl. It is Friday - who can complain?! I have a fun weekend planned.

3.  I can't stand   when people constantly complain    because  I like to be in a positive mood as much as possible, and their complaining brings me down.

4. My idea of relaxation would be   some comfy pjs, bed, and a good book :)

5. If I had an extra $50, I would buy me a nice outfit from Old Navy or Gap... or maybe I would buy another pair of Toms... The options are endless.

6. The best thing about a bloggy friend is  I haven't been in depth enough to have any bloggy friends, but I think it would be cool, because you learn so much about each other through blogs and they know when you're having a good or bad day/week. You both enjoy blogging, which is always a plus.

7.  A recipe I've been dying to try is a pumpkin bread. YUM. I love pumpkin recipes.

Mother's Day - We Want To Know Wednesday

It's that time of the week.

We Want To Know Wednesday with Mamarazzi and Crazymama!

So I'm not a mom, but I'll just answer it how I THINK I would if I had a child :)

{one} What would be your ideal way to spend Mothers day?
I would want to spend it with my kids. Preferably doing something fun. Not necessarily going out to eat or anything like that. Maybe grill out and play games - outdoor or indoor!

{two} Which would you rather receive actual gifts or gifts of service?
Either one. I love both - I think I am most excited about getting handmade gifts :)
She @  http://she-she-says.blogspot.com wants to know:
{three}How do you juggle it all?  How many different "hats" do you wear and how do you accomplish all you have to do?
I don't have much that I have to do, other than go to work, read, and watch TV shows. I know, it's pretty intense. :) If I had kids and had a lot of things to juggle, I think I would just have to be VERY organized. With everyone's schedule.. Lots of planning would be involved.

Vandy @ http://tttandme.blogspot.com/ wants to know:
{four} What was your "Oh no, I'm turning into my mom" moment?
Oh you know, when I bought my puppy and I actually had to walk her myself ;) But seriously - I respect mother's (especially mine) so much. I am excited to one day have the opportunity to be one myself, but for now my puppy will have to do.
Natalie @ http://wibblywobblyme.blogspot.com/ wants to know:
{five}What should you be doing right now instead of participating in today's WWTK linky?
Working? I get off in 29 minutes and I hit a good stopping point, so I'm kind of just killing time now. Shh don't tell the boss.. she went home for the day already :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday - who is celebrating Cinco De Mayo on Saturday? My boyfriend wants to go see The Avengers, to which I came up with the idea to do a double feature so I can see the Lucky One. I think he also wants to eat Mexican food for dinner :)

4. Sometimes you just have to sing really loud OR watch a sappy movie and cry.

5. A song that I just can't get enough of lately is   "We are young" by Fun . <-- I agree! I am obsessed!

6. My favorite accessory is  - a scarf when it is cold - I am not huge on accessories. While I LOVE them, I just forget to put in the effort to remember in the mornings. Maybe I'll have to start planning this when I plan my close at night.

1. What is your favorite go to breakfast recipe for special occasions of company?
Any kind of breakfast casserole that can be prepared the evening before and stuck in the oven. YUM

2. What is your policy for kids that don't want to eat what you are serving?
I have never had this issue and I don't have kids, BUT I would probably have something on hand that is kid friendly, mother approved ;)

3. Do you take treats to neighbors? What kind?
No :-/ I would love to when I move into my own house in a neighborhood. Right now I live off of a busy street and one neighbor is never there and I think the other one just moved out.

4. What is your most used spice in your cupboard? (Besides Salt or Pepper)
I love all kinds of spices, oregano, garlic salt, paprika, BUT my go to spice is Goya Adobo. Yum

5. What is your favorite fruit? Do you have a favorite veggie?
My favorite fruit is strawberries, but there aren't many that I don't like! And as for veggies, I LOVE asparagus! I like most, I do NOT like corn or green beans.

6. It was tax day here in the US. Did you get a return? How do you spend it?
I got my return over a month ago and it was gone within a couple of days paying loans and credit cards. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted :)

Happy Wednesday everyone!
