Wow, can you believe it!? It's already November 1st (in 30 min). So exciting. I love this time of year. If I could have a Christmas tree up all year, I'd be a happy girl. Oh and the music!
We listened to Christmas music at work yesterday for our holiday floor set. It was great :) although there were so many changes that we were there until 4:20 am. That and having this cold, have made this the longest day, but the store is gorgeous!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and Halloween! I didn't do anything but work, but we had trick or treat at work on Saturday. Such cute kids! It was a lot of fun.
Germany part 2 will be up soon, I've been working for 7 days, going on 8, with a 14 hour shift yesterday, so haven't had much blogging time lately. Sadface!

We Want to Know Wednesday!

1. Do you shop til you drop, or are you in and out as quick as possible?
I'm somewhat bipolar in the shopping department. Some days I shop til I drop and then other times I am in and out. The in and out happens more when I am trying to keep from spending money I shouldn't. When I have too much time to roam around, I come up with reasons why I want need everything.
2. Are you a price conscious shopper?
Not always. Although I am becoming one more as I get older. Speaking of, I definitely have some coupon cutting to do today!
3. What store could you spend HOURS in?
Gap, Old Navy, Target, or anywhere that sells Vera Bradley :)
4. What is the most frivolous purchase you have ever made?
A coach purse. I am not one to spend a lot of money on purses, because I want a new one every other day. I used this one for about 6 months before I bought a new one... I intend to go back to it though.. I promise! :)
5. What was the last thing you bought for yourself?
I bought myself a lot of apples and homemade fruit spreads yesterday. Haha. I went to Ellijay with my boyfriend for the day, which is like apple country in Georgia. If we are talking non-food items, I bought myself... a new purse from Fossil, because the store by where I work is going out of business and they were 75% off! I confess.. I have a problem.. I can't resist the purses.
Have a fabulous Wednesday everyone!

Germany Part I
I am going to write about my trip to Germany over a couple of posts. Mainly, because I don't want one post to have 300 pictures.
I left October 4. I flew from Atlanta to Dallas to Germany on standby. The way there was amazing, no problems at all. Other than turbulence, but that's common... NOT that I like it!
I landed in Germany at 730am German time, with no sleep on the plane, thanks to my fear of flying. I wanted to experience minimal jet lag, so I decided to stay up. I failed and took a two hour nap. Then I slept 13 hours that night.
My grandfather lives in Hohensolms, which is about 45 minutes from Frankfurt. On the 5th (technically my first day) we went to Wetzlar so my step-grandmother could go to the doctor and we could walk around the town. However, my Opa forgot his phone in the car and we had to walk about 3 miles UP HILL to get it. When we finally made it to the Alt Stadt (Old City), it was well worth it. Such beautiful buildings and tasty treats.
Here are some pictures from that day:

The next day, my step-oma went to babysit my cousin, who I had yet to meet. He's about 2. Such a cutie. While there we went for a walk around Butzbach. It was another gorgeous town, that used to be home of a huge military base. I took a few pictures there too:

That was just the first two days. While not entirely jet lagged, I was exhausted by the end of the day. The following day my Opa and I had a trip planned for a tour on the Rhein... that will be my next post, it will mainly consist of pictures!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Fill in the Blank Friday
1. Nothing says fall like the holiday candles at work and the brisk air.
2. My favorite autumnal tradition is going for walks in the park. Oh, and drinking apple cider and pumpkin spice latter.
3. My favorite fall treat is all things pumpkin, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin spice lattes/frapps.
4. Fall makes me think of comfort. Something about the cool air, sweaters, scarves, snuggies , and blankets make me think of being so comfortable. It also makes me think of cuddling :) Who doesn't love that?!
5. Autumn free form word association, go! cinnamon, pumpkins, thick socks, flannel pjs, crunchy leaves, cuddling, hot chocolate, scarves, cardigans.
6. My go-to outfit in the fall is jeans, cardigans, t shirts, sweaters, and scarves.
7. My favorite fall holiday is (Halloween or Thanksgiving) Definitely Thanksgiving. I am not a party girl and I do not have kids, so I don't have much to do with Halloween. Although I do love the decorations. However, Thanksgiving is about family, and food. Two very awesome things! It also makes everyone realize they have so many things to be thankful for!
Have a GREAT weekend everyone! I will be spending it at work tomorrow and then in the mountains with my boy Sunday. Nothing yells fall like spending a day in the mountains. :)
And I will be writing a post with pictures about Germany VERY soon (probably Monday, I have a day off!)

Jet Lagged...
...or just tired from not being able to sleep on the plane... Well that is until we were langing and I fell into a deep sleep and when we landed I think I might have screamed a little, however, I know for sure that I grabbed the lady's arm next to me out of fear. Haha. Well at least it was the end of the flight, so the awkwardness was avoided! I took a two hour nap, although I could have slept for 10 hours. I want to get adjusted to the time here though, so I will fight through the fatigue and sleep well tonight!
It is raining and cloudy here in Germany. I look forward to doing some touring. We are going with my step grandmother to the town where she goes to the doctor, which is supposidly very nice, so I will take some pictures, and begin documenting my journey!
I miss everyone at home, but I know this will be fun, especially when my cousin finally makes it back from her school trip! She's supposed to be my buffer, so I have someone to talk English to instead of German. Haha
Good day everyone!

What I've been up to...
Last I left off it was my birthday and I had extreme back pain.
Good news, that did not ruin my day and it is slowly getting better with the help of my medication doctor. The Friday before my birthday, I hung out with my boyfriend. I already wrote about that HERE. Saturday I cleaned, because I did not want to turn a quarter of a century old in a filthy house... maybe not filthy, but pretty messy.
Sunday I spent the day in Atlanta with my mom. We went to American Roadhouse for brunch, which was AMAZING and way too much food. Then we hit up Piedmont Park for an art festival and just to spend some time outside. Finally for dinner, I wasn't feeling the whole restaurant vibe, so we picked up food from my favorite Japanese Steakhouse and watched Something Borrowed.
Here are a couple of pictures from the day:

| Best Gelato. Yum! |

It was a fantastic weekend, I was spoiled as always. Lucky girl. I got a Kindle this year and cannot wait to read and read and read! I am currently about a quarter of the way through the first installment of the Hunger Games. Has anyone read it? Any Kindle suggestions?
Have a great Saturday!

Fill in the Blank Friday
1. My current obsession is pinterest and my google app. I love being able to read everyone's blogs on the go!
2. Less debt Little things make me happy.
3. My greatest strength is being organized when it counts.
4. Taking on too much because I am an overachiever is my greatest weakness.
5. My life is kind of stressful at times, but I still love it. Every day I know that I have people that love, that I love and that will always be there for me.
6. In high school I was a band nerd. BUT in my High School the Marching Band was considered cool. People went to football games to see us, not to see the football team lose, yet again. No joke, they haven't improved, they lost 70 something - 0 the other day. 50 something of that was scored by the other team before half time. Poor guys!
7. When I'm super tired I am quite funny. Or at least I think I am :) I get really goofy. OR on the bipolar other side of things, I get really grumpy.
Have a great weekend everyone! I have another busy weekend ahead of me! Gah. I want a day to breath, but I am also having a blast :) I promise a real update is coming soon!
