Weigh in...

I am a big fan of the show The Biggest Loser. I haven't watched all of the seasons, but I have seen a few and it is a really motivating show. After I graduated High School, I gained a lot of extra weight. I am not proud of it in the least and I did try to stop it at times, but it is hard when you're going to college and don't have your own kitchen. Yes, that's an excuse, I could have made healthier choices in the Caf, but I wanted that patty melt or a pizza. The wraps were good, but how many of those could you eat before you got tired of them. That's what the Caf lacked... variety. It always seemed like pretty much the same options.

Anyway, now that I have graduated from college (a year ago :-/) and I work closer to home than most of last year, I have joined a gym again. I am determined to lose weight and get back to how I looked in High School or a little bit smaller. I was not comfortable with my body then, but now I look back and envy the High School me. I have a pair of jeans in the closet that were my FAVORITE pair of jeans in High School... I WILL WEAR THEM AGAIN!

Long story short. I started working out last Wednesday and today is my first day not working out, although I might cave and go before work! I am too ashamed of my weight to write what it is, but I can say that since last Wednesday, I have lost FOUR pounds! If I have learned anything from Biggest Loser, it is that any pound lost is a victory, so I will celebrate!

-My posts won't be as long from now on. I will be weighing in every Wednesday and possibly sporadically posting in between those days how I've been doing with my goal :)
